What is Flannel & Firelight
Flannel & Firelight is Camp Rio Blanco Circle of Friends’ signature fall fundraiser - a cozy, adults-only evening designed to bring our community together around the warmth of a glowing fire and a shared love for camp. Hosted at the scenic Spirit Ranch in Lubbock, this one-of-a-kind event blends rustic charm and nostalgic camp vibes with live music, delicious bites, local brews, themed activities, and a thoughtfully curated silent auction.
Guests are invited to don their favorite flannel and gather under the stars for a relaxed, joy-filled night of connection, celebration, and giving.
All proceeds from Flannel & Firelight directly support Camp Rio Blanco’s programs and facility improvements - ensuring generations of youth continue to experience the adventure and growth that only camp can offer.
Why Camp Rio Blanco Circle of Friends?
Camp Rio Blanco is more than just an outdoor escape - it’s a place where youth build confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories under the West Texas sky. By supporting the Flannel and Firelight fundraiser, you’re investing in experiences that shape character and strengthen community. Your donation helps ensure that every camper, regardless of financial background, has the chance to swing from the ropes course, take aim on the archery range, and learn under the stars.
Camp Rio Blanco Circle of Friends is a group of passionate advocates dedicated to preserving and enhancing Camp Rio Blanco for future generations. Funds raised through this event directly support camp improvements and program enhancements - bringing more magic and meaning to every campfire moment. Whether you’re a longtime alum, a community partner, or someone who believes in empowering youth, your support creates real, lasting impacts.
Sponsoring Flannel and Firelight is also a unique way to showcase your business or family’s commitment to youth development and the outdoors. Our themed sponsorship levels, named after camp activities and landmarks, celebrate the spirit of camp while offering visibility and gratitude in return.
Join us in keeping the fire of Camp Rio Blanco burning bright - for today’s campers and tomorrow’s leaders.
